DIY Orange Furniture Wax

1 cup orange oil

1/3 cup white bees wax pellets

Place the orange oil and wax in a heat proof container with a lid. I use canning jars. Place the orange oil and wax in a canning jar, close lid and place it in a pan with about 2 inches of water. Turn the heat on medium high heat. Heat the jar until the wax beads melt. I shake the jar occasionally to mix and encourage the wax to melt.

When the wax in completely melted, removed from the heat. Fill the sink with cool water so the jar will be submerged about 2 inches. Shake the jar for about 30 seconds and place it in the water bath. After about 5-10 minutes remove the jar from the water bath and place it in the refrigerator. Every 5 minutes x4, open the refrigerator, remove the jar and shake it vigorously for 30 seconds. The mixture will thicken as it cools. Use this furniture wax like you would any other wax as a finish on a piece of furniture or to refresh the wood in old drawers.
