Refinishing Furniture for BIG Profits

It took me no more than three hours to refinish this media console so I could then flip it on FACEBOOK MARKETPLACE. After I deducted my expenses , I earned $100 per hour.

YES YOU CAN flip furniture to earn extra money in your free time or even if you work full time (like I do).

This flip required only basic skills to refinish the media console with Rustoleum chalk paint. This console was abandoned in an apartment and I gratefully accepted it from a friend. Therefore, I got it for free!

The cost of materials was minimal since I used 1/2 can of chalk paint (that I got on sale for $10). Since I buy primer and polyurethane by the gallon, the cost is reduced. I estimate that I used only about $8 worth of primer and poly.

The cost of the beadboard was only about $5 since I used only about 1/3 of the sheet. Therefore, my out of pocket expenses are only $23.

The main place that I am currently selling furniture is on Facebook Marketplace. I have tried other only places and none have worked for me.

The methods I use when posting and pricing on Facebook Marketplace have worked well for me in that it is not uncommon for me to sell my furniture within a few hours of listing it. (Subscribe to my channel to be notified when I post my video with my tips and tricks to get the highest prices on Facebook Marketplace!) To maximize the money you get when flipping furniture for a profit, you should pay close attention to what sells in your area on Facebook Marketplace.

Flip furniture that not only sells BUT it SELLS FOR HIGH PRICES! In my area, a kitchen table and chairs in good shape ( almost new condition) sells for only about $100 on Facebook Marketplace.

Therefore, there is not enough profit in it for me to flip a kitchen table and chairs! I researched media consoles in my area and found that they typically sell for over $300 if they are in good condition and are stylish. That is why I priced this for $350. And I was right- it sold. (That is why I was so pleased when my friend offered it to me for FREE!)

White furniture sells well in my area but next time I do a console I will choose a turquoise color. From my research, turquoise credenza's and media consoles seem to sell fast and for a high price!
